An iconic piece from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 1996 ready-to-wear collection, famously worn by Linda Evangelista to close the show as the Chanel bride. This dress perfectly captures Karl Lagerfeld’s playful, 1960s-inspired vision for the season—elegant, youthful, and unforgettable.
Crafted from structured ivory shantung silk, the A-line mini dress features a dramatically embellished bodice with rows of pearlescent half-moon paillettes, tiny crystal florets, and faux pearl accents. The wide shoulder straps and square neckline evoke vintage charm, while the clean silhouette of the skirt keeps the look timeless and wearable.
Fully lined with a concealed back zip. In very good vintage condition overall, with some faint discoloration and few tiny marks to the skirt (see close-up), not noticeable when worn due to the sheen and volume of the fabric.
As seen on the runway finale, hand-in-hand with Karl Lagerfeld and fellow supermodels—this is one of the most iconic RTW Chanel pieces of the '90s and a true collector's treasure.
Labeled FR40, runs small. Please use measurements as a guide: bust 36", waist 32", length 37".
