This exquisite vintage Chanel brooch, crafted in the 1950s, is a masterpiece of haute couture jewelry designed by the renowned Robert Goossens. It features a quatrefoil design inspired by Byzantine and Baroque art, showcasing a brilliant blue pâte de verre centerpiece, encased in gilded bronze, accented with lustrous faux pearls and sparkling crystals. This brooch belongs to Chanel’s iconic line of bijoux fantaisie, often referred to as the "Fords" of Chanel jewelry, known for their timeless beauty and varied configurations. Similar pieces are celebrated as part of haute couture history and were exhibited in the prestigious "Gabrielle Chanel: Manifeste de Mode" exhibition at Palais Galliera, Paris (October 1, 2020 – March 14, 2021).
