I purchased the exact brooch from another site. After it arrived I had it evaluated and authenticated and discovered it had been repaired (heat from soldering causes discoloration). Fortunately I was able to return it because this information was not disclosed. I understand that you do not know the full history of the brooch as you are not the first owner and even though I really want it, I have to be cautious investing in a piece that may have been repaired.
