I keep all my sale items in a closet or area that's only used for storage, & do my best to keep them clean, looking good, & odor free… 💥BUT... 🐈We have 2 cats that have hair, more than it looks- I do try very hard to keep the cats out of my storage area. 🕸Many items have been in storage in a clothing wardrobe since I went back to full time work a few years ago... AND we live in an old house in the upper South= variable weather & No central air. SO, NWT tags/ dry clean/ some vintage may be a tiny bit stale or musty despite activated charcoal, & my best efforts to keep up, since those are items I can’t launder. I will use all my abilities to mitigate any staleness so that they’re as fresh as possible! These items are sold 💥AS IS💥. ***If the item is priced at more than $120, l will dry clean, & make sure it’s in order before I ship. We live in the country with a lot of breeze, so they will get a good airing out before I ship. 📦AND I am cleaning, downsizing & packing to move soon... 😤This means fuzz, fluff & hair can creep in. I will do my best to thoroughly inspect & remove these. I will wash pre-worn clothing before storing &/or shipping (on delicate cycle & air dry, as I do with my own clothing). I have extensive experience in wardrobe laundering & upkeep due to my work in theater costume. I will list any imperfections or issues that I observe. 👁Please be aware, especially those with allergies. Thanks for looking & reading 💜

leanderandhero @eclectikatt I know how quiet that can be :( We had to put our 2 elderly border collies to sleep last week for health reasons, and it seems so different around here. They weren't even ours originally (we're more cat people); they were my mom's & we took them in when she had to go into assisted living a few years ago. Yet we miss them. Animals are work, but they really are family, and happiness.

leanderandhero @missus_eff Oh good! I'm so glad. I totally understand not wanting the fuzz! I love my fur babies, but I don't like my clothes covered in hair, so I try to keep them as separate as possible. I washed the jacket right before I packed it, & lint rolled both items inside & out.

glossykitty @leanderandhero I was just chatting with another posher. If you like wild felines also, you should google manul, caracal, and sand cat. Personally, I think the sand cat is the most adorable, the caracal the most magnificent, and the manul the most expressive. Btw, what is the name of your black and white cat? He or she is very pretty too.

leanderandhero @glossykitty My husband & I both love wild felines; I'm familiar with the caracal & sand, I'll check out the other 2. There's an interesting book, "The Cats of Shambala" by the actress Tippi Hedren that chronicles her time living with larger wild cats. The b&w cat's name is Mary. I didn't name any of my cats; they're all rescues that came named, but coincidentally they're names sound like a tea circle of little elderly ladies, lol. Do you have any kitties? I looked, but didn't see any pics...

bargainchest I am new on Posh, just started about 5 weeks now. I have waist length hair and I have gotten my hair many of times with the packing tape . Lol should I put a warning out. Unfortunately my black kitty in the 2nd & the 2 Border Collies all passed in the last year :-( They were all adopted around the same time, about 14 years ago. We are sad, & missing them, but we’ve promised my son 2 kittens when our last 2 ladies aren’t around anymore.

leanderandhero @ninaabshar It was heartbreaking & very hard. She picked me at our local SPCA in 2005. I loved her from the start, but after my husband & I got together, she became his special buddy . She was our extra special girl. We are still sad. I’m so glad you have your pair!!! Black kitties are the best, & so many get looked over.

dragonflybtq I have 2 kitties myself.f I try my best to keep the fur etc off my clothes but what I seem to have the most trouble with is 1 of my kittens has a thing for foam board. She's constantly trying to eat it or pick it up in her mouth and run away with it!! She's only 5 lbs so you have this tiny kitten trying to take off with a full size piece of foam board!! She loves to pose with items too so she pops up in listings now & then bcuz it's too hard to keep her out of the pictures!

dragonflybtq @leanderandhero We put down my 2 kitties 5 & 7 years ago. They were brothers & for 2 years until the other passed he cried all the time. 😔 Broke my heart. Still does every time I think about them. You can see one my 2 in the Michael Kors listing in my closet. She fought me. When I tried to move her she went back & looked at me like 😝. So I gave up! I didn't realize how much I missed having animals until we got these 2 crazy girls!! My life is complete again. 🐈❤

leanderandhero It’s so good you have new little ones! We’d love to get some, especially for our son, but we still have 2 older lady kitties here & 2 at his mom’s (who we just lost). We want our son to have the kitten (or puppy) experience before he’s much older (9 now), but can’t justify these older cats dealing with kittens. It’s a pickle ;-/

Aside from the love we lost last winters that we still miss so much, I lost one almost 9 years ago. She was at least 17. My buddy through my teens & 20s. Miss her so. It’s never easy.

We put her to sleep July of 1992 which was a month after I graduated high school. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her. I'll always miss her. I love my girls but I'll always miss my Sam!!

leanderandhero @babsmr Very true! You must stay busy!! We used to have 2 dogs and 5 cats, so 2 is more manageable for fuzz control. Horses are wonderful- I haven’t had one since I was young, but my husband and I work for a saddlery here in central VA, so I get a little time with them in the shop next to the barn.
