OLDER THAN VINTAGE! Authentic 1930s felted wool fedora, sort of a taupe/light brown color with chocolate brown hat band. I don't now the size but it measures 21 1/2" when measured around the inside band. Has been re-brimmed on the inside but has the original lining. Ok condition.

deadlyhandsome Hello. I’m an avid hat buyer, and I’m interested in this hat. I’m not sure what you mean by “re-brimmed.” I’m also not sure what the size is. US hat sizes are the inside circumference divided by pi (3.14). Are you saying that the head opening measures only 7 1/2 inches long? That would make it a tiny size. I’m interested if it’s my size, but there are just too many unknowns at this time. Thanks.

carinasweet @deadlyhandsome good morning. Thank you for your questions. The band on the inside of the Hat has been replaced. It is a small size as it fits my head so it's probably a small. It was my grandfather's and he was a rather small Italian man. And perhaps you can tell me if it's felt or wool? It seems like a wool but feels like a felt!

deadlyhandsome @carinasweet Felt is a process and not a material. Wool can be felted as well as fur and other materials. I can’t tell the material by looking at it. It does not have the proportions we’d expect to see in a hat from the 1930s. Without knowing the hat size I can’t consider buying it. Good luck.
