While some Arc’teryx gear can be a little overkill for daily use, the Mantis is an exception—it’s a pack that excels both on and off the trail. It has a relatively compact shape, and yet with 26 liters of storage volume, it can carry a lot, and it’s super comfortable thanks to its padded back panel. There’s a zippered main compartment, two front zipper pockets, and dual side mesh sleeves for holding water bottles. Inside the main compartment, there are multiple smaller pockets for organizing accessories and a sleeve for a laptop or hydration reservoir. The exterior has a DWR finish to ward off stains and light precipitation, and a sternum strap and hip belt help you distribute the weight when the pack is really loaded up.
