@lucylu937 American Eagle's "Favorite Boyfriend" cut jeans are considered low-rise. They are designed with a relaxed fit, inspired by the look of a boyfriend's jeans, which typically sit lower on the waist. I would say below the belly button however, not circa 1990's Brittany/ Christina low rise.
