marilynn54 @mamajx5 I Just noticed your picture with the saying from the Dali Lama. I have been a Nurse for many years.I guess it has been almost 30. Yrs ago I got a call To come to help right away.We had a patient ,a young man who was a Buddhist Monk from Tibet Not only did he not speak English He would not let anyone touch him.He needed care and all I could think of was the story of Anna and the King of Siam.A monk can not be touched by a woman.everything they did freaked him out.We backed off and only touched him when necessary and then with draping. I called the the Monastery nearby for help.That afternoon a group arrived to help.My poor young monk was in a panic.A small man wearing a Hawaiian shirt , laid his hand on the monk to ease him and nodded to me saying " You teach me,I will teach his brothers"I spent the rest of the afternoon working with the Dali Lama Teaching him to care for a complicated wound. You don't have to go far from home to visit a different place.Sometimes it can be right where you are only never saw.Take care and thank you for your picture!
