This is believed to be a Yoruba sash from Nigeria. It was purchased from a woman who collected textiles from Africa and other places.
This sash or textile has machine stitching but also hand embroidery and appliques of animals and other shapes. Shisha embroidery (around bits of mirror or shiny objects) can also be seen in the flower motifs.
NOTE: I am unsure if this is an actual sash or just in the style of one. To me, it seem more like a storage textile with pockets. If anyone can provide more information, I would appreciate it.
Condition - good to very good. Some light marks and a few areas of wear. A snagged area in the strip with the flower embroidery (on the right).
