Purchased new from Saks Fifth Avenue in April, 2023, and never worn. 100% real (NOT vegan) leather, listed as "lightweight" but I'd say it's more of a midweight. True black color, photos are taken in raking light to show detail. Very soft, buttery, gorgeous leather in a contemporary wide-legged, crop style. No stains, smells or damage other than a very light superficial scuff on the back above the yoke, which I wasn't even able to capture in photos and I suspect must have been from shipping.
