This is a wonderful old sterling silver kilt pin featuring a sturdy, oversized build and a delightfully primitive, modernist aesthetic. It is hallmarked with a thistle and a castle with three towers, and the date letter is a cursive capital T inside a square cartouche with the bottom left corner removed. I believe that this means it’s from Edinburgh, Scotland, but wasn’t able to confirm the date letter. This incredibly useful and versatile piece is designed to secure multiple layers of fabric, but it would make a super cool key fob or charm holder, too. Unique, quality piece. ***Measurements (approximate): 3.42” long x 0.46” wide. ***Markings: Hallmarked (please see photos and description). Bottom half of maker’s mark is worn off, but it looks like either TF or TE inside a rectangular cartouche. ***Weight: 5.7 grams total weight. ***Condition: Very good preowned older vintage condition.
