Classy, elegant Tahari. This wool-polyester blend wrap coat has just enough weight to keep you cozy, but not too much to be bulky. Double shawl collar. Lands just below the knee. Pockets! Slits at cuffs and hem still bear temporary stitches to keep crisply closed until you're ready. Size large. New with tag.
Measurements are approximate:
42" bust
38" waist
42" hips
24.5" sleeve
17" shoulder to shoulder, across the back
42" shoulder to bottom hem

I'm really not sure how to directly speak with the seller here. hopefully someone can help me .
I'm not quite sure how to utilize the size chart. I get that the chart is devised to show you size equivalents across countries. However, while the coat is a Large those equivalents don't give me any measurements to compare with regard to fit on an individual such as waist, bust, etc..
I would appreciate any guidance to help me make a decision for a correct fit for an intended gift.

@pfirsisch Please see measurements in the listing. These were taken directly on the coat and are not from a size chart. These are more accurate. Hope that helps!

@okapishop I thank you for your response .
Unfortunately, being a guy, we're driven to buy with the number/measurements. well there is such thing as s, m, l, and so forth, they do correlate with numbers. Sorry, but when it comes to women's clothing, I just can't quite determine in my head what exactly "Large" means across the board. I'm curious if this will fit someone with the following measurements :
Bust: 36
Waist: 35
Hip: 42
Again, I do thank you for your response.

The circumference measurements of the actual garment in the listing:
bust 42"
waist 38"
hips 42"
On a looser fitting coat like this, you should add 4-6 inches to the person's body measurements to allow for clothing underneath, and comfortable movement in this coat.
So let's add 5":
36 + 5 = 41
35 + 5 = 40
42 + 5 = 47
So based on these numbers, I don't see a good fit in waist and hips.

@okapishop Thank you so much for that information. It is really appreciated!
The best to you .
I will keep my eye open. It appears from the math, maybe an XL would be better for her.
I am very grateful to you for this.
