This is a striking hat! It consists of a round structure made of black felt, trimmed in gold grosgrain around it.. There is a small, round crown on top plus a brown half veil. At one side off then top there is a bow made of the same gold grosgrain and a bouquet of synthetic flowers made of a very shiny gold material. Gorgeous! An elastic band isn attached to the inside of the hat to keep it in a tilted position. Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these. LABEL: LORRAINE'S - 32 W.
