Hey! I'm Alex, and I'm starting college August 25! I have many chronic health conditions, and a lot of medical costs. This includes weekly doctor visits, hospital stays usually once a month, and my prescriptions. I'm selling on here to hopefully raise some money, as a soon-to-be college student, for these costs. And specifically, I have had pancreatitis for a 1.5 years now, and my pancreatitis doctor (he is supposedly the expert on it here in Cincinnati) is considering removing it. It's very scarred. So for wisdom for him, and peace for my mom. She doesn't want it, as I can understand, but my quality of life with it is poor. I am okay with surgeries. But yeah, I've been in and out of hospitals and ER's for years and years, and have multiple doctors. No ICU though! But yes, liking a post is the best way to get back to their closet :) Welcome to Posh! And I hope you might find something for your daughter, that would be fantastic :)

melissahartsellYou are too sweet! I'm so glad you haven't advanced to the ICU stage. I'm sure that your doctor is really taking good care of you! Just ask lots of questions! If you think of them later -write them down to remember to ask next time. I was recently working in California where they actually had pancreas transplants, they are mostly done with kidney transplants which hopefully is not affecting you, but maybe some day in your lifetime it may be beneficial for you IF NEEDED. I know that your illness can be very painful so I hope that you're not having to deal with that also. My prayers go out to you, your mother, & your whole team of medical servants. May you feel the love {big hug} through these lines of communication & KNOW that your angels are watching & caring for you also. (And I'll ask mine to visit you too!😉)

anduncan15@melissahartsell Aw thank you! The prayers are greatly appreciated dear. It's so interested they did transplants. The transplant team here said they are pretty rare. I do have good kidneys, but unfortunately I have to take medicine for pain and sometimes be in the hospital for it. But I'm on a J-tube now so it will bypass my stomach and pancreas and it has cut down the pain. But anytime I eat, it hurts.

anduncan15@melissahartsell Oh a Posh Party? Like a physical party? How cool! I saw on your page you work nights. What do you do? I have been pretty good. I had college orientation, which was fantastic! Haha and then I went to Cleveland Clinic for 2 days. I had an MRI of my upper abdomen (called an MRCP) and an EUS (endoscopic ultrasound). The EUS is a scope with an ultrasound on the end to look at organs inside the body close up and get a better image than a regular ultrasound. Both were to look at my pancreas, and the EUS confirmed mild-moderate chronic pancreatitis. And my GI doctor here is saying he plans on removing my pancreas, but it is just a matter of figuring out the right timing. But I have been doing well overall. I got trigger point injections in my neck, and have hardly had headaches/migraines. Since I feed through a tube, I don't have pancreatitis pain unless I eat by mouth-and that is a choice I make. The only pain I really have now is my fibromyalgia pain, which has always been manageable. So I am really the best I have been in a long time, thanks to my j-tube and injections! My pancreas is damaged still, but not bothering me. Ha sorry for the long ramble! How are you doing!?
