ptl8 @secretmarvels wasn't Eddie Vs, bc it wasn't a chain. Must've been the other. ..it was so long ago (17 yrs? ) that I can't remember the name. But would know it the second I saw it! Was kind of funny. ...my husband remembered that his great grandparents I believe donated part of the granite or whatever the Capitol is built from, wow I'm just now remembering, but I think his family's name was Lacy.

secretmarvels @ptl8 Amy, it was George W. Lacy and WH Westfall that gave tons of pink granite to build Austin's capitol back in 1886. All the stone was donated :) What a guy!!! ptl8 @secretmarvels my husband just remembered the name of the restaurant I couldn't. ...Sullivans...is it still there? He's been sitting here talking abt his family that's still in Marble falls and Lacy Lakeview. The thing that's kind of freaky, is the governor of Texas, Anne Richards I think? Could be an identical sister to marks mom, who was a Lacy. Said she was always confused with her (just a side note lol)...thx for the info and my husband's memories he'd forgotten🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

secretmarvels @jharding111 I lived Minnetonka in the burbs of Minneapolis and the high desert of Bend Oregon. In the Twin Cities, actual temps were more than -50 so the windchill at times could be -120. It was crazy cold!! So I'm selling the best of my cold weather gear :)
