I have a Labrador /Golden retriever mix as a guard dog and we also have a German Shepherd as an inside-outside dog. And they are all awesome sweet dogs, but will protect in a heartbeat. But it's cold at night so my Lab is inside guarding my kitchen floor. LOLOL
