sabrinalanglois @tiffcake hey! I’ve only owned one pr of these - rockin booties about 5 years ago that were size 37 but must have been too big. I felt very unstable in them. After siting in my closet for almost a year and wearing them out of the house once I sold them. I’m confused about the sizing based on this post and my experience. I want to give them another try and I’m also a true 7, any tips are appreciated! 😊

tiffcake @sabrinalanglois I’m a ninja when it comes to fitting shoes (meaning, when a shoe doesn’t fit & I need to make it fit bc it’s too hard/impossible to replace in better size) I have a shoe horde—legitimately. The thing that I’ve learned accumulating all of them is that it’s easier to get a tight pair to fit than to get a loose pair to fit, at least in high heels.

tiffcake @sabrinalanglois The higher the heel, the tighter it has to fit to walk properly. If you buy it bigger, it’s feels ok/better when you are just standing/walking a few paces but your foot slides forward when walking so it will slip off the back (basically no matter how big, your foot will steel feel cramped in the toebox). Wearing them tight enough to fit properly (when they’re super high) isn’t comfortable and some ppl never adapt to it (or want to adapt to it)

tiffcake There’s 3 tools for shoes that are too big. I can make a listing and tag you. The sizes that I need for each of these shoes is specific to that particular style for that designer. Based on owning them already in certain sizes that aren’t working well or same styles but different textiles that are working well.

tiffcake @arlindab reason why it’s $$$ is bc speccio leather is impossible to match so cobbler recommended rewrapping BOTH stilettos. It’s about $10 per spike to buy replacements (w/out installing). Besides the five spikes/tiny nick, they’re excellent condition so it’s a shame the repairs cost so much for such tiny imperfections. Cost of owning CL’s I guess!

It was illegal for them to sell you counterfeit so don’t give up until you succeed. Your other two sold pairs ARE/WERE authentic. It’s just that white studded pair that’s a problem. You have a huge closet & I don’t want to see you get shut down for an honest mistake

tiffcake @kiss666 check out the fake impera offered by anafranc1 (some ppl called her out which she resisted, then listed them for a huge price to spite them which I tried to buy for $500 but I was blocked from offering less than 1 million dollars (20% below ask) so I told her I couldn’t put in my offer so she relisted at $225 and i told her wasn’t interested in them w/out concierge... they disappeared and are back now “not verified” bc she wouldn’t let me buy them

Plus, they’re half size too small so I was concerned about getting stuck trying to resell them. You should save really special pairs like your strass. I only have 2 strass pairs both purchased at incredibly lucky prices but only one is original (other is pro strassed aftermarket) & I wouldn’t get rid of them ever. I want to be buried in them. (really different from the eastern or western parts, especially when I was a kid) I’m a shoe addict and even though McQueen is my favorite, it’s easier to find Louboutin and before I knew it I accumulated a bajillion pairs. I don’t know as much as an authenticator—only as much as a “collector” (or hoarder LOL)

I think I’m out of sync though w/ the new collections—I haven’t been keeping up. It’s lots of work honestly. And not all of the info you find is trustworthy so sometimes it takes even longer to learn what you already learned was wrong! Le sigh...

I’ve been sizing down a lot lately. It’s easier to get a pair to work that’s too tight than one that’s too big. How did your snafu work out with fake seller?
