vintage 1973 Estee Lauder Star Shell Youth Dew solid perfume pendant compact

The object is a vintage 1973 Estee Lauder Star Shell Youth Dew solid perfume pendant compact. It is silver-toned with a Southwestern-inspired design and a faux turquoise cabochon. It was designed to hold solid perfume, specifically Estee Lauder's Youth Dew. The design is described as a "sunray" or "Empire" style, reminiscent of Louis XIV. It can be worn as a necklace, with the pendant hanging from a chain. The compact still retains the scent of the original perfume with remnants of it left in the compact.
