Unique 1960's-era piece... Impeccable quality! The top is Robins Egg blue silk faille, and the bottom is black silk weave. From "Dayton's Oval Room", the fancy part of the Dayton's department stores, where the high-end pieces were sold. This is a somewhat unusual piece, I can't help feeling it originally had some sort of over-skirt? The top feels very 'finished', very polished, and is a heavier weight. But the black portion feels lighter weight, like a slip would feel. The last picture shows the side seams of the black part were let out, so you can still see the "ghost", the tiny holes where the original stitches were. You could also easily hem this to make it just a blouse. Too big for me, I wear a S. Please compare the measurements below with a dress you have at home that fits well. Excellent condition.
Shoulders: 15"
Sleeves: 22"
Bust: 37"
Waist: 36"
Length: 21" shoulder to the bottom of the blue part, 37" total length
