Beautiful true vintage midcentury modern Penneys woven wicker basket. Originally a sewing basket, I bought it to be used as picnic basket, because it’s so spacious. Natural color wicker basket Very sturdy made out of wood, wicker, vinyl & satin Wooden pieces interwoven all around Opens with 2 top hinged lids, they have metal O-pull rings Satin lined interior, top of the lid, siding, beautiful bright flowers, Flower Power & Twiggy vibes Lid inside tufted & with pearl accents Sturdy wicker wrapped wooden handles & wooden bottom, plastic feet Made in Japan, 14” x 11” x 8”, without handles In good vintage condition. Some stains on the fabric all around, some small holes, especially on top. Interior satin shows age & use, fabric is a bit loose, it looks like tape was previously attached to bottom to straighten the fabric.
