pacificwinds @debralkeller Awww😊 Thank you so much for sharing that with me. I rescued Champagne from the L.A. fires nearly 3 yrs ago. I'm a chronic alcoholic with mental disorders, yea! me! I think we all have something we feel we'd be judged or shamed by if people knew, but they're really badges of courage for having the strength to do the best we can and be proud of that. No shame. pacificwinds @debralkeller 😊 Thank you again, my new friend. I believe she was. I had rescued a puppy, same breed, at 5 weeks old. She was stolen from me at 8 weeks. It was after I recovered from that incident, it was very traumatic how it happened (right at my doorstep......I had answered the door thinking it was Mormons, because I'd let them in a few times at that time, and looking out the peephole.......) then I got my Champagne and they drove her to Portland OR from LA CA for me!

cruellad62 She’s a beauty! My Belle is a white pitty w/black spots. They are characters, smart too! I tend to go extreme when my families prejudices protrude. Hubby said no “black” cat, I got a black cat, they all dissed pit bulls, I said there’s a lesson to be learned here. My Belle is the heart of our family now at 2.5 years old. 🤣 Congratulations on your sobriety, there is nothing to be embarrassed about being alcoholic or having mental illness. Both need to be better understood.

pacificwinds @ambentzen Isnt she adorable 😊 Don't let her pretty face fool you......1 afternoon last week made face plant #5 for me. She doesn't care much for anything that moves, but especially dogs. And, if I don't see it first. She doesn't pull, rather its like getting shot out of a cannon lol

loridgiam I’m in love.. your dog is precious!! I too have a dog, he’s half black lab and half border collie but he’s 13 1/2 and really slowing down, it’s so hard to watch. He’s been by my side almost his entire life, we’ve been inseparable! He’s such a gentle giant my baby, Tag! I just love looking at everyone’s dog pics!!

pacificwinds @loridgiam Awwwww, how gorgeous. looks so calm in that 1 picture 😊 I know its tough when they get older. I had a dog my daughter brought home when she was in kindergarten and we had to put her down when my same daughter was a freshman in college. Definitely part of your family

r_glover @tanyrae Oh how I love the puppies sooooo much. I’m a pet/house-sitter on the side (I can’t have any of my own right now) along with my full time job and school. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING in this world beats the kind of unconditional love they give to you🥰 When I clicked this post and was going through the pictures, I was thinking just how beautiful she is. Happy to babysit if you ever move to the Chicago area😇😝🐶🌷

pacificwinds @44calico Thank you. Yes, she did rescue me.🐕 I'm a recovering alcoholic and could not get sober. I've not had a drink since 5 days after getting her. I've had her almost 4 years😊😊

pacificwinds @44calico They don't think she was abandoned. When the fires happen, animals all over take off and people were just trying to save their own lives; it's terrible when they happen here. The ones we had last year were just devastating🥺

44calico @pacificwinds What a great story. A real live movie! Great for you both! I’m so glad you’re happy. So far, I’m a cancer survivor. Life is precious. One in a million people get appendix cancer & I found out I had stage 4. My 12-month check up is at MD Anderson in Houston. After labs & CT’s my appt with my surgeon will be on 6/22 - the 1 year anniversary of my surgery.
