We took Sherpa fleece and bonded it to a jersey fabric (think: an ML tee) so it's got an insanely soft lining. We did this for 2 reasons: (1) Sherpa can be kinda scratchy if it's just against bare skin (2) extra warmth. Then, we added poly piecing on the shoulders for durability (aka the abrasion zones). Basically, if you wear a backpack it prevents it from digging into your skin and rubbing you (quite literatlly) the wrong way. This jacket has all the bases covered.
