historical party shoes chelsea crew 1920s two piece heels open-toed size 40

Beautiful pair of historical reproduction shoes by Chelsea Crew. Part of my historical costuming closet that I never wore. Lightweight, comfortable, perfectly balanced for dancing. Marked size 40 (European) which is size 9 American. Black with pale gold trim. Beautiful with long or short skirts. Perfect for a 1920s or 1930s New Year gala, or Titanic party. No materials markings, but the uppers appear to be leather with a pigskin lining in across the ball and arch of the foot. The soles and insoles appear to be synthetic. Soles are hard and slick for danging. Heel caps in excellent condition. If these were worn, it was only once. There is some minor scuffing of the finish around the holes of the buckle strap.
