Condition
Features what appears to be the remnants of original silver or white & red surface paint. There are scratches & surface rubs with finish wear & sections of surface rust. We have not attempted to clean this in any way. Some hay (?) inside. Assuming cast-iron, heavy. Please see photos
Bank is made in the form of a whimsical postage mailbox, the type that you would walk up to, lift up a handle, and slip your mail inside. I see no makers mark type text/writing. Says US mail, as well as “lift up” on the moving handle area. This is the section where you would slip in the coins.
This early 20th century bank is in good condition. It does not appear to have been repainted or restored. See All photos to ensure you agree.
Please see all photos to make your own determinations as to all aspects of this piece, including condition. Written description is provided solely as a courtesy. Photos are the most important part of this description. Apologies for any written errors or omissions.
