Measures roughly 4" in height, 4" diameter at lip, 4" diameter at base, 5.5" deep including handle, and is in excellent condition, with no conspicuous flaws or blemishes.
Made in 1852 to commemorate Wellington after his death. This is a very rare & sought-after mug...it's very unique in its immaculate condition...especially given its age. It's Al's unique in that the transferred print is not perfectly aligned (as indicted in photos), as well as the inherent watermarks & dye smudges made during its manufacture.
One side depicts Wellington as Prime Minister, and the other depicts The Duke riding a horse at the Battle of Waterloo. Inside lip of mug is transferred print of stars & geometric patterns.
