my3js08 @ichen0438 hi! you can do either! the material is substantial to stand on its own even if the jacket is unbuttoned or you can button it all the way up and it'll stand. otherwise you can fold it down and lay it flat while buttoned/unbuttoned. super chic either way! hope this helps, lmk if you have other qs.
