Antique c1900 Meiji Era Japanese Ceramic Imari Plate Cranes Pine & Mt Fuji
Featuring the revered Mt. Fuji; three cranes, which are harbingers of good luck; and archetypal pine trees found in so much Japanese art; all on a white porcelain background with a brown textured rim, this imari plate for export was produced by the Yamatoku Pottery towards the end of the Meiji Restoration era (1868-1912). This antique plate is in excellent condition, measures 9.5 in diameter, and the Yamatoku name in katakana characters is impressed on the back.
This 110+ year old Yamatoku plate is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Please see photos and description for details and for further assessment.
