The stone is set in 4 prongs and is quite freeform but generally oval shaped. The top is polished with a clear finish. Inner shank is marked as sterling, tested positive via chemical testing. Straight shank. The stone is very large and really quite beautiful. The edges are rough and unpolished (but not sharp!). I like the duality of finished and unfinished.
