These snowboard pants have zippers pockets and cargo pockets and all sorts of buttons and vents to keep the snow out or get some air in. The waist is high and about 38.5 inches so it does run bigger but good room for layering and there is a Velcro strap on waist to tighten as well. I was able to fit in it as a medium just fine.
