The rounded heel brake guarantees better heel stability so downhills are more comfortable too. It’s no coincidence that these special shoes are rather like trail running shoes. Salomon took its inspiration for the Cross Hike from trail running shoes. These walking boots are close to the ground and rapidly responsive too.
