Wolverine Plain-Toe 1000 mile boot, men's 8D, rust Chromexcel

Made in the USA (Michigan), this is the Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot in men's 8D. Purchased from Leffot New York as a run using Rust Chromexcel from Horweeen tannery in Chicago. Flat waxed cotton laces and metal eyelets. Worn only inside, so virtually new, with no wear in the leather outsole (see pictures). Chromexcel is an amazing leather that gets better with age (and care), giving really nice color contrast ("pull-up"). I haven't seen this color in Wolverines for a while. Sizing: 8D in 1000 mile is similar to Red Wings 8D or Alden 8D. I wear a 9.5 in running shoes, and 8.5 in dress shoes. I have gone through several pairs of 1000 mile boots over the years. Purchased this one a while ago, but sadly doesn't get wear since I have found some new favorites. This is an amazing boot, with leather that will age beautifully. A great way for a boot newbie to trial some great boots. With a Goodyear welt, this boot can be resoled through Wolverine.
