Wilkes Bashford heels with Bill Gates-adjacent provenance

Elegant, vintage Wilson and Dean evening wear strapped sandals made exclusively for Wilkes Bashford. Suede with elegant rhinestone filigree decoration. 3.5 inch heel height. Bottom of soles worn, however, minimal scuffing and wear to heels themselves (see pictured). Made in Italy. The original owner of these shoes was the sister of Bill Gates' ex-girlfriend, Ann Winblad. Winblad, an early tech entrepreneur and venture capitalist in her own right, is famous for the terms in Gates' prenup with Melissa that stated he and Winblad be able to take an annual long weekend trip together to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Gates, Buffet, Bezos - these are the modern day philanthropist-tycoons whose names will live on much in the same way as the Carnegies, Rockefellers, and Vanderbilts of the gilded age. In essence, this footwear can be considered one of the few "chic" collectible original artifacts of the modern tech era.
