Had her true size been available she would have gone with that. You can easily stay true in size, size up or even size down. The waist band has elastic and there is plenty of room in the legs. Flat lay measurements may not be exact and colors may differ in person. You can add a good 6-7" to the waist band measurements below. I measured stretched out to get how much the waist band can be stretched out, but the waist measurements below are listed before I stretched them out.
