We all love a good deal, don't we? We, as sellers, will price our item based on what we paid for them and/or the value of the item. Lowball offers can be insulting. Please see the above chart and take it into consideration when you make an offer. Thank you so much. ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ

This is so great for you to post. And yes, low ball offers ๐
Jan 03Reply

callidoracloset
@divinasstyle I know, right? I have noticed that people seem to cut your list price in half if not less when they make an offer. It's craziness.
Jan 03Reply

divinasstyle
And sometimes LESS than half! And it really is insulting; especially when we know the true worth and actually condition! Truthfully and thankfully, there are many great buyers that understand what they are getting is a great price and at times even a steal.
Jan 03Reply

divinasstyle
And for offers that are genuinely reasonable, I want to do everything I can to give them what they want and even throw in something extra for being such a considerate posher. I will always come down in price so long as the offer is reasonable.

@divinasstyle or some crazy overpriced stuff! Seen that today and i just joined literally and Iv haven't yet the chance to decide what I'm all putting in my closest!

@bsaul didn't mean to offend you. Your description did say a belt was missing. I'm not offended that you declined my offer I just moved on.
Jan 10Reply

bsaul
@kdldy I tagged so you know for future reference. Yes, the belt isn't included, but that doesn't make the shirt worth next to nothing. After Poshmark's fee, I would have made five cents. It's just not worth printing a label, packing it up, and taking it two miles to the post office. You know?

I think the question "What's the lowest you will go?" In the COMMENTS section should have its own column
Jan 13Reply

callidoracloset
@divinasstyle Lol very true. I will always go to look at the profile of the person who lowballed me. 95% of the time it's somebody who doesn't sell, but only joined posh to purchase. Anyone who sells on posh wouldn't typically lowball because they understand.
Jan 13Reply

divinasstyle
I've noticed that for most. Giving them the benefit of the doubt but I've looked at a couple closets who have asked that very question and seen some comparable if not higher price points. But you're right, several are just new.

@callidoracloset Thank you for posting this. I'm fairly new to Posh and have run into the lowball offers and lowest issues. I always strive to have very good to NWT items in my closet. I spend the time and money to have items dry cleaned, freshly laundered, polished, etc.. Even when I've told them this is my lowest they still try to get another 40-50% off that. I'm just not sure how to deal with it sometimes. Anyway, may I add your chart to my closet? Perhaps it would help.
Feb 04Reply

callidoracloset
@rarejem Of course! Feel free to use this chart. As far as how to deal with it, the only thing you can do is decline the offer. It is inevitable that it will continue to happen, but just know that the right buyer will come along. ๐๐

I love this chart, and it's such a great idea, but really, we shouldn't have to! I don't know what's happened to common courtesy and respect, but anyone who would offer a low-ball amount isn't using either one. If they complain about low-ballers in their closet, why would they turn around and do it themselves?! Makes absolutely NO SENSE at all.

@rarejem Just decline it...and move on. As a buyer its sooooo difficult to know what the seller's minimum is! I paid like $65 for a nice purse that was only in "fair" condition...and after i purchased it, i found the same exact purse in EUC for $25.00!! People sell low as well...so its tough to know what's an "insult" and what a seller will actually take for the item.
Dec 17Reply

callidoracloset
@sharkbait2427 An insult is if, letโs say for example, I had something listed for $100 and offering me anything lower than $80. There definitely is some wiggle room, but nobody lists something for $100 to get a $30 offer. I never go lower than $15-$20 on most things, because I know how much the fees are that posh takes. I once had a dress listed for $140, and got an offer of $35. I couldnโt even believe it. The dress still had a price tag of $440 on it. People are crazy.

@callidoracloset ..land God Bless you for hangin' in there!! Best of everything to you as a Posher!๐โค๏ธ
Dec 17Reply

sharkbait2427
@callidoracloset p.s. when you mentioned receiving a $35 offer on a $140 listing that was NWT...now THAT is clearly freaking ridiculous... Everyone loves a great deal...but THAT is like just wanting to ROB you blind. ๐ต
Dec 17Reply

callidoracloset
@sharkbait2427 exactly. But some people continue to do it. Not all, but it still happens. I do just decline, but I shake my head at the same time. People are nuts.
