hi, do you know what model this is?

@imastarrnow not sure what model it is, I attached a screenshot of the original description. It does not seem to correspond exactly to a current WKD model. I would guess it would be closest to the Morticia because it is a pretty extreme waist training type corset as far as I can tell.

@marlijn9697 awesome! do you know the measurements for the rib, waist, and hip? 20" is about my corsetes waist size and it's be awesome if this fit elsewhere

@imastarrnow there is no measurement given other than the waist, which is think is typical for corsets? I think 20" is the maximum you can cinch it and you would adjust the laces to allow for room for your hips and ribcage. I could try to measure the actual corset at the top and bottom edge but not sure if that would give the size info that you are looking for.

@marlijn9697 actually, 'good' corsets, for lack of a better term, typically have the rib, hip, waist, and length for front and back listed. It's all good if you can't find the info though, here is the easiest way to measure one that I have found. open it and lay it out flat. air you don't have a flexible or cloth measuring tape you can you a piece of string and then measure where you marked it.

take the string or measure and measure along the inside at the top, on one side of it, laying it out so that it follows the curves along the top binding. measure from the very outside edge of the busk to the outside of the boning that holds the grommets. this was will, when x2, the internal rib measurement. The hip is done the same way.

THANK YOU SO MUCH

also, I sent an offer, it's on the lower side just because as of right now I have no way to know if it will fit my hips and ribs. If you can get those measurements I'll happily raise the offer though

@imastarrnow Hi, sorry when I was measuring it I decided to try it on one more time and then I was questioning my decision to list it for sale because I actually do love it, even though I am not used to wearing a corset so I think for now I'm going o hang onto it. If I do decide to list it again for sale i can let you know !

@marlijn9697 I'll give you your asking price for it. Also, and this is not me trying to manipulate you, but if your new to corseting, the, what I believe is the Morticia corset by WKD is not a good place to start. They are very stiff and thick and take a very, very long time to season, this model has a very comical rib cage which for me is good, I've been corseting for years andy ribs move into place easily now, but it will be putting a large amount of pressure on your rib cage. Anyway

if you are going to be wearing it, listen to your body. if your ribs start to feel numb, or like they are tingling, or your mid back is hurting, or your ribs are hurting, take it off. This would mean that it's either not the correct shape/silhouette for your body type, is to small, or is laced MUCH to tightly.

@imastarrnow understood, and thanks for the advice. I will definitely let you know if I decide to put it for sale again. I do think it is an old Morticia model, with the attached modesty panel. I sewed, mostly vintage patterns, and I love good craftsmanship so that is another reason why I am now on the fence.

I did actually measure it too! But now I am once again at work and don't have that info with me. I would say it's not super uncomfortable on me but I do have a rather small ribcage and a pretty small natural waist (I usually wear a size 2 or 4 for reference). I will give it another think and let you know.
