I love the color but I will say that it appears a little darker in these pictures than it actually is. The majority of the pictures are with a flash, so that is what it does with a light on it. The last few are without a flash. I'd call it a royal blue with a hint of white swirl throughout. If I had a Westmoreland guide, I could probably give it the factory color. There are no chips, nicks or cracks on the dish or lid. The last picture is of it in my curio under a light.
