susansupernovaAh you silly! I understand-leather bags and snow don't exactly work together! But it's been treated with a protectant so no worries about damaging it. All I will say is if you use lotion on your hands and carry it by the handles, the handles will darken faster (it's a normal thing-but lotions will kinda make them sticky). ❤️❤️

I use Deva curl shampoo and conditioner, which works fine but I don't think it is amazingly better than any old store brand:) my main product is Nioxin Mousse. It leaves my curls soft and not crunchy. One $13 bottle lasts about 6 months. It's the best! I twirl product through wet hair with my fingers for about 10 mins then diffuse for 3-4mins. Oh and I don't wash my hair that much. It helps keep the frizz down :) hope that helps!

jkdressler@mfairlight hi Melanie! “Boutique” as a label can only be used for items that are purchased at wholesale and resold. I think it pops up if you are a certified wholesaler on PM. Im not one, so I don’t have that when I go to post a listing. Sometimes I put “boutique”as the brand to let people know that is where I purchased it, as the brand wouldn’t be recognizable to folks. Not sure if that answers your question?

But they're never worn... that was my confusion. I just want to share things as much as possible to try and get sales :)

jkdressler@mfairlight if the item is indeed designer, and nwt, then you can indicate that in the fields on the listing. You don’t need to say where you bought it unless you want to. Just make sure your titles have as much info as possible bc people also search on keywords. And of course, always be honest. I hate it when I think I’m clicking on an All Saints item and then I read that the posher did that for “exposure.” Argh.

Find out if you can get fiscal sponsorship from an existing area nonprofit who can take care of the back office stuff. There are soooo many rules and filings and it’s better to latch onto an existing org than start your own. Just my two cents!

jkdressler@travelgramshop incorporating, getting tax exempt status from the irs, filing annual 990s with the irs and whatever your state regulators require, getting audits, payroll (if you will have employees), insurance (liability, workers comp, D&O), there’s soooo much. By doing the fiscal sponsor model, you become a program of an existing org and don’t have to deal with any of that. It’s easy to not know all the rules, run afoul of the laws, and lose tax exempt status.
