Wedgwood Jasperware Trojan Jug or Pitcher with Metal Pouring Cap # 26209

This is a dark blue Wedgwood Jasperware trojan jug or pitcher with a metal cap that may be used for coffee, tea, or other beverages. The jug shows no sign of ever holding any liquid as the inside is clean and stain free. The pitcher measures 4.00 inches across the base and 3.00 inches across the rim. It is 6.25 inches tall and holds 3.25 cups of liquid. I will include pictures of the Wedgwood and Made in England marks-but they did not come out well the first time. The lid is shown both on and off. It is metal with no markings and I am not sure exactly what its purpose is other than to keep beverages warm or cold for some amount of time.
