Wedgwood Cobalt Blue and White Decorative Oval Plate Antique

Elegant blue and white oval plate with intricate designs. Perfect for display or collection. Beautiful antique Wedgwood Jasperware oval plate from late 1800s - 1909. Floral outer relief pattern with two main relief designs. First: "Seated woman washing face of putto". It is a common motif found on Wedgwood Jasperware pieces beginning in 1800s. Second: sometimes referred to as scene from Iliad or "Friendship Consoling Affliction". Due to the age of this piece there is some staining on the underside. Overall it is in amazing condition for being well over 100 years old. There are two spots where the initial coloring was not applied perfectly see images for more detail. Color is referred to as Cobalt Blue. Markings on bottom are "Wedgwood" and separately "England" and one additional stamp which is difficult to make out, possibly a "K" or "F" Measurements: 9.25" x 6.5"
