Nearly every charity has had a tough year, and your Posh shopping can help them. In fact, some grants would count cash donations against them (the more they got, the less they must still need), but those grants don't factor donated items against them. This also helps fellow Poshers pay for their Christmas. Boutique, New With Tags, New Without Tags, or at least "like new" condition! * Food banks need non-foods. Check their website or social media, but generally storage, office, and other home items (like light bulbs) must be replaced every so often. * Many food charities give kids and adults clothes, school supplies, and kids Christmas toys. They likely most need socks, underwear, winter pjs and accessories, jackets, shoes. Also toys for their oldest kids (usu. 12 yo. or teens). * MANY Poshers have NWT books for kids, adult literacy programs, and libraries, but the best selection I know is @bookandmortar . * Charities who give clothes for job interviews and new jobs, need business appropriate pants and shirts. * Charities who build houses for those in need always need home items- window coverings, light/wall/bath fixtures, rugs, and decor. * Animal rescues may need pet beds, blankets, dog cots (some floors get cold), dog booties, sweaters/jackets, poopbags. If you ship directly to them, you can't change your address back until it ships, which means no buying or shipping. I forget any common needs? Please don't advertise specific charities.
