The plate is dated January 2, 1981, and features a hand-decorated tulip and heart design in traditional Pennsylvania Dutch folk art style. The underside is incised: W.L. Breininger, Robesonia, PA, Jan. 2, 1981 with the keystone PA mark. Breininger was a well-known Pennsylvania potter carrying on the regional folk pottery traditions.
