This is a uniform from a man during WW2 and the Korean War. He was in the army from September 1946 until December 1955 and the jacket has a rank of staff sergeant. With 6 years of service stripes.
He was an in the 88th infantry division blue devils as well as the SPECIAL CATEGORY ARMY With AIR FORCE (SCARWAF),This was a group of the army loaned to the newly created Air Force until they built their own forces.
You get everything in the photos. Include the two hats, tie, jacket, shirt, pants and the blue devils scarf embroidered with the logo and italia on it.
I do have his self written life story or maybe autobiography which is about 50 8.5/11 typed pages in a comb binding. It covers his life from childhood to retirement. I dont want to release names in public but it has extensive information on his years in the military. I have a sample page in the images for this listing
He did take a break between 2 army stints where he worked with the army corps of engineers before reinlisting.
He rebuilt a number of bases in Europe after wwii and gearing up for the Korean War. He was deployed in Japan, Germany, Italy and France.
I am including many service documents cards from his time in the army including meal cards, weapons card, soldiers permanent passes, scarwaf liberty pass, pay card, ration card, etc.
Please ask any questions or if you need additional photos of anything and please make a reasonable offer.
