Sooo this skirt is $249 USD but in AUD it’s only 269-the equivalent of $189. WTF? I’m so confused lol thinking I might just order it from Australia now. I just don’t understand why it’s so much more for us here. Also the dress becomes $350 vs 500 Just wanted to share in case you want one but don’t want to pay $250

letf8b Ya I don’t know what’s up with Spell they are also charging us 20$ shipping from aus even if you spend 150$ what’s up with that too 🤷🏼‍♀️ it used to be free. I’m going on strike if they raise prices that high. I don’t think anyone should buy from us site just so they get the hint.

sunstrawberry @lindsayboo19 I saw the same thing when I went to look at the drop. I think it’s because AU’s economy is tanking right now according to the people I have bought from over there and I honestly don’t think the people in AU can afford to pay 500 for a dress. Their economy is in the toilet right now.

violet__v @lindsayboo19 lol I had the same reaction. I was sitting there excited, credit card out, then just froze... I started buying spell only 2 years ago but the prices are so inflated now. Its shocking.

blue_anemone @lindsayboo19 Wow, that’s crazy. Thanks for sharing. I just looked at Lioness drop and all the US prices are more than Aussie site when you do conversion. I don’t think that was case prior...that really bugs me! People should start complaining...I plan to!

violet__v @blue_anemone I actually looked at some of the maisie pieces and the US prices are pumped up too. I noticed the same for the warehouse sale but someone else gifted me a piece so I didnt think too much of it... but maybe it's been going on for longer than the last few drops.

letf8b I sent Spell a message asking them why this is happening we shall see what they say. I’m very interested in what the have to say. They generally answer within 24 hours I will let you know what they say. It will make an interesting drop day if everyone starts ordering on the Aussie site. Haha it’s worth it to pay the shipping if the price is that different.

lovestonedgypsy That’s crazy. It’s like a $60 difference. All their stuff is too pricey now. It just isn’t made well for what it costs. Usually a $200 skirt has a lining and no loose threads. You can feel the difference from a cheap skirt. I feel like now it’s just cheaply made. First drop I didn’t get anything either 😒

blue_anemone @lovestonedgypsy @sacheath I just tried visiting the Aussie site, and literally my computer only received-routes me to the US site. Is this correct, we can’t even order from the Australian site if we wanted. I’m furious...I can’t believe people don’t care and aren’t making a huge stink. I’m just one person, but I just complained. I may stop buying Spell for a bit I’m so mad!

lovestonedgypsy @blue_anemone ya. They said in their email we would no longer be able to purchase from AU. It is ridiculous. I’ve noticed over the past 6 months I rarely check the pages anymore or the news on spell. The poor quality, Pastel/floral looking patterns, increasing prices, and now this have really turned me off

sacheath @lovestonedgypsy true, their quality and designs are terrible lately. It's turned into stuff I dont even look twice at anymore. I think I'm just going to keep what I have and walk away. There are other Aussie brands that are catching my eye and aren't as expensive.

roamthestars @blue_anemone I know I am so mad! Now the same items are back up on the spell site and there was something I want that was in stock in all sizes on the AUS site but sold out on us and I can’t even buy it. So lame. I emailed customer service from both my email accounts and complained lol. And although I really wanted the sports bras that dropped today I boycotted because I’m still so pissed! Hope they get the hint! 😡
