Willy Perez was born in the Dominican Republic in 1956 and is the son of Guillo Perez, one the country’s most revered painters. Willy’s neo-expressionist paintings depict his love of things aquatic and the geometry of the Dominican landscape, executed in vibrant Caribbean colors and highlighting the need for ecological preservation.
This 8x10 inch acrylic painting depicts an oxcart abandoned in a field with purple mountains and blue sky behind. It is rare to find a work of his at this price - his larger works can sell for up to $10,000. It is framed in Perez’s favorite gold frame with linen liner and is ready to hang. The painting and frame are in excellent condition except for a slight wrinkle in the linen liner (see photo).
