Measures 6 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 1" The "Shelley" mark also appears on the dish, identifying the manufacturer. Shelley Potteries was based in Staffordshire, England, and operated from 1925 until 1966 when it was taken over by Allied English Potteries. Pin dishes like this were commonly used for holding small items like pins, rings, or other trinkets. Shows age related wear, with crazing and some staining. Really a neat piece.
