This an unsigned, vintage, reverse painted glass lampshade. The reverse painting appears hand painted as brush strokes and paint “drips” are visible. The colors used include green, reds, peach and a few splashes of purple—the actual glass is a soft tan/beige color. The floral pattern is still vibrant and the glass itself is in good vintage condition—there are no cracks, chips nor paint loss noted. There ARE a few things to note regarding condition: 1) There are areas where (apparently) during the creation of the design paint is seen along the rim/edges. (SEE PHOTOS.) 2) The top opening has rough edges and some scrapes (inside) where the fitter was placed. 3) Also, imbedded within the glass are at least 2 “bubbles” formed during the glass fabrication process.
