Vintage Art Glass Italy Murano Controlled Bubble Glass Bowl, Dish, Rolled Edge Murano, Italy. Hand Blown Controlled Bubble Somnerso Teal Green. The rolled edge bowl has a beautiful ruffled filariform / flower shape. In great vintage good condition condition. No chips or crackers. The "hole" or indentation at the bottom of a hand-blown glass piece is called a "pontil mark" or "punt mark," and it's essentially the "scar" or indentation left where the glassblower detached the piece from the blowing pipe, indicating that the glass is indeed hand-blown; it's a natural part of the process and not an imperfection.
