We think it's a vintage brooch or maybe a button of some kind. The lid is a silver tone metal with a black center that is possibly plastic. The jar is ribbed and has a number 5 on the bottom. It measures 2.25 inches in diameter and approximately 2.25 inches tall including the decorative piece on the lid. This would be so pretty on a vanity or dresser and could hold rings or other small trinkets.
