New & in original box. Old batteries were not working so I removed them and tried new ones. There is some rust in the center battery chamber (see photo). See also video. He works great! Super cute. It does take 3 AAA batteries which I will include when I ship the item as I do not know how long it will take to sell and I don't want the new batteries to potentially corrode.
