Vintage 90s handmade Indian patchwork quilt. Unusual diagonal geometric pattern -- like barn raising but without squares -- in a mix of cotton and silk embroidered and block printed fabrics. Backed with soft brown cotton. Has either a bit of batting or more layers of fabric inside -- has some thickness to it, but not warm blanket level. Absolutely stunning. Mix of magenta hot pink, lilac, rust brown, and even touches of green. At 86" x 96", could fit Queen or King.
Does not have kantha stitching, and I could not place the style in any specific region. Maybe Rajasthan, based on the embroidery?
Designed and imported by Karma Living, specializing in world textiles since the 90s. Shows light wear consistent with age, but in extremely good shape, no flaws.
Very hard to price, as this is clearly a lovingly handmade OOAK luxury item, miles beyond Anthropologie. Karma Living no longer creates these styles of quilts, but previous similar styles retailed for $350-500. Please make an offer or reach out to discuss.
